In Verona Italy, the wealthy, well known Capulet family has a banquet in their home. All are invited except their rival family, the Montague's.
Capulet and Lady Capulet walk their daughter, Juliet, into the banquet, hoping to get her to fall in love with her future wed, Paris.

Romeo, the son of the Montague's, has snuck into the banquet, to come win back his ex lover. But as soon as he sees Juliet, it is love at first sight.

Tybalt, Julietś cousin spots Romeo from across the room. He gets very angry and threatens to kill murder Romeo. Lord Capulet, Julietsś father, says no and that no one shall ever get murdered under the Capulet roofs.
Romeo, a stranger to Juliet, goes up to Juliet and starts confessing his love fo r and how beautiful he thinks she is. He wants to kiss her, but Juliet is hesitant, but Romeo convinces her to. They kiss.
