We need more food, can you go hunt some deer? or Bison?
Yes, But I will have to be gone for days, I have to find A new cave and chase the game.
I shall be right back, I must go farm our crops for fresh food so the community will not starve.
Ok , in the meantime I shall go trade for obsidian, flint and hematite.
Why Is It Better?
Life is so much better knowing that we have a stable food supply with permanent shelters and cattle!
In the paleolithic times people had only game, (Deer, bison, Etc) and no permanent homes. Usually they would either live in caves or dirt holes. They did not have a very stable food supply, so they didn't have large communities.
In the neolithic age people discovered farming, this gave them a stable food supply, witch allowed them to have larger communities. This gave people permanent homes, giving them jobs. Once they had jobs they had a lot of free time.
I Believe it is better now because with larger communities more people could help with trading, farming, basket weaving. And with a stable food supply nobody would starve or get weak and tired. With better, permanent houses it protects them from animals from the outside. it also helps that they have cattle.
