On the day me and my family had to leave to Illinois i remember how much we cried. i cried the most because i was leaving all my friends behind but also because i couldn't go to college
i remember how me, my family and friends all had to end up making toys out of mud. That's how poor we were and that's a reason why we left mexico
when the first couple of months passed most of my brothers and sisters moved to Oklahoma and California i guess they couldn't really adjust to the new environment so they chose to live somewhere better or somewhere where is suits them.
adjusting to live in a new environment wasn't as easy as you think it was. The first job i had was when i turned 19 years old that was a year after we got here in Illinois. Living here was harder than living in mexico.
Having my first child was one of the biggest hardships for me because it was hard enough for me to help my family but later on i ended up having 3 kids and i am very happy i did.
At first i was really sad but now i'm grateful that i have moved to Chicago now i have started a family
