Storyboard Text

  • On the day me and my family had to leave to Illinois i remember how much we cried. i cried the most because i was leaving all my friends behind but also because i couldn't go to college
  • i remember how me, my family and friends all had to end up making toys out of mud. That's how poor we were and that's a reason why we left mexico
  • when the first couple of months passed most of my brothers and sisters moved to Oklahoma and California i guess they couldn't really adjust to the new environment so they chose to live somewhere better or somewhere where is suits them.
  • adjusting to live in a new environment wasn't as easy as you think it was. The first job i had was when i turned 19 years old that was a year after we got here in Illinois. Living here was harder than living in mexico.
  • Having my first child was one of the biggest hardships for me because it was hard enough for me to help my family but later on i ended up having 3 kids and i am very happy i did.
  • At first i was really sad but now i'm grateful that i have moved to Chicago now i have started a family
