- ADAM !! Its horrible I'm in sooo much trouble if my parents find out!! if I dont pass this test i'm not passing math!! I'm horrible at math!!!

- I'm stuck on this one problem!X-4 = x/4 + 1/ 8
- 8(x-4)=8(x/4+1/8) 8x-32= 8x/4+8/8
- First, you have to recognize the fractions. You'll finally convert them to integers using the distributive property.
- Oh okay, but then what are we supposed to do next?
- 8x-32=2x+1 8x-32+32-2x=2x+1+32-2x
- From there find the lowest common multiple for all fractions, which is the smallest number that both denominators can fit neatly inside. You'll be able to add fractions this way.
- Then don't we multiply the Less Common Multiple by each term in the equation. Then Isolate variables on both sides of the equals sign by adding or subtracting like phrases.
- 8x-2x=1+326x=33x=33/6 = 11/2
- YES!! You got it all you need to do now is combine phrases that are similar.
