  • So 2^3 * 2^4= 2^7!
  • Did you know when you multiply a base with an exponent you add the exponents to get the answer?
  • But the bases have the be the same number.
  • YA!!
  • So 7^9 / 7^3 = 7^6?
  • Ya and subtract the exponents in fraction form
  • Yep
  • Did you guys know that when dividing 2 bases with exponents you subtract the exponents?
  • Dang, he's out of power. Too bad we need to study for the Power rule quiz
  • Ya, when you raise a power to a power you multiply the exponents
  • That's right!
  • So if (6^2) is ^2 it would = 6^4
  • Ya, so if 2^0 it = 1. Even if it is (2^3)^0 it would also = 1
  • Cool, now lets practice soccer!
  • Did you guys know a zero exponent on any base = 1?
  • Cool
  • Really?
  • Ya, if you have 3^-5 you change it to 1/3^5 so the exponent is positive
  • Did you know if you get a negative exponent, you have to make it a fraction?
