Storyboard Text

  • Ships carried rats who were bitten by fleas, who had  the plauge to Europe (Black Sea)
  • SQUEAK!
  • The Black Death reduced population by one third and labor from all became useful and wanted from anybody.
  • The Plauge quickly spread.
  • This lead to the end of feudalism because everybody had to obey the same common laws (even the king) and certain rights were protected to all citizens.
  • King John was forced to put his seal on a document called the Magna Carta.
  • After sealing the Magna Carta, the kings were constantly being watched so they can make sure he was following the laws.
  • Many people left their homes to go to the market to shop for things or trade for things.
  • A girl is leaving her house to go to the market.
  • The growth of markets led many people to pursue their own jobs, and they found more and gained more at the market, so there wasn't a need for feudalism any longer.
