This is an a Ha moment in Chapter 6, page 98 when Darry meets back up with Ponyboy and they finally understand each other. It's an A ha moment because it's like a light bulb went off in Ponyboy's head. Him understanding that Darry does care about him.
This is a memory moment on page 148 because it's quoted from johnny and the poem "Nothing gold can stay." It's a memory moment because in the Church house, they start talking about nothing gold can stay but Johnny told Ponyboy to stay gold.
This is a contrasts and contradiction on page 167. When they are in the courtroom, The socs actually tells the truth and aren't trying to decieve the judge. Like in the previous past, when they did something wrong, they would either cover up what happened or blame it on the greasers
This is again and again on page 180 when the the book ends and begins the same way. It repeats itself in the book. This happens because Ponyboy has to write an essay for reading class.
