  • On January 8, 1815, the British put together a 10,000 troop and attacked New Orlean attempting to cut off American with the Mississippi River
  • Andrew Jackson gather a group of people forming the armies (Indian, French Pirate, Western Militia, Free slave)
  • The War ended with a peace treaty, signed in Ghent, Belgium. But everything the U.S was fight for was not granted to them.
  • The US economy was severely damaged by the British blockade. However the aftermath gave a dramatic boost to the  manufacturing capabilities of the US.
  • You need to acknowledge our existence and maritime right!
