  • Too bad you are a woman
  • Before WW2 a women's role was to be a housewife. Women would cook, clean, and take care of the kids while the husband would work.
  • Stop cooking it is time to go to work honey
  • I will help with the war!
  • If women did work they would usually do jobs that men claimed to be a woman's job. Such as nurses or a maid or a store assistant.
  • We are the new workforce!
  • unghhh
  • Women were not very well respected and thought to not be able to do what a man could with his job.
  • I will save you!
  • During WW2 American women's opportunities and roles increased greatly. Respect was also gained.
  • With the large portion of men off to the war, big industries hired women to replace for the lost work. Some jobs in the factories were to build and assemble air crafts or make ammunition.
  • Women also enlisted in the army during WW2 as about 350,00 of them participated. Their roles were the "nurse corps" (medics) and the "aviators (airforce)."
