Storyboard Text

  • Hunter Gatherer Life
  • We need to kill that animal for food.
  • (deer sound)
  • Agricultural Revolution
  • What if we were to plant food to eat so we didn't have  to move around.
  • Good idea lets also breed animals and create permanent structures.
  • Government
  • You can't do that.
  • Nomads were people who traveled from  place to place  hunting animals  without a permanent home. They also  painted in the caves that they   temporarily lived in, creating artifacts. Nomads lived about 4,000-10,000  years ago.
  • Agriculture and Taming Animals
  • I'm so glad that because of farming and animal taming, we have a stable food source.
  • People soon discovered that staying in one place and forming a society would give them many benefits such as agriculture and trading. This happened about 2000 BC. This is called the Agricultural Revolution.
  • River Benefits
  • One benefit of living in society is they now had a government to create and enforce fair rules for their society.
  • Trading
  • I'll give you gold coins for wheat
  • Now that they had tamed animals and crops, they always had a stable food source, and didn't have to hunt for food anymore.
  • Most ancient societies lived by rivers, this helped them because they could grow crops there and were protected from enemies.
  • Because societies lived in one place, other societies knew where they were allowing societies to trade with other societies.  one benefit of this is, when there was a famine where one society lived, they could trade their valuables for food that another society has because their society is not in a famine.
  • LOL can't get me
