*Johnny grabbed tobacco out of his pocket*
Here guys take one
Uh, I don't know guys. This doesn't feel right.
Brian we're all doing it. You won't get in trouble.
I don't know, I can't.
*The boys taunted Brian with the tobacco.*
Brian if you want to be us like do it. Don't be a chicken.
From this day on the boys continued to smoke tobacco everyday after school.
It became a routine to smoke, or otherwise known as an addiction.
Don’t be like Brian and give into peer pressure. Once you do you can’t go back. Smoking leads to cancer, lung problems, heart attacks, and other organ problems. It takes away your once healthy immune system and it shortens your life. When a person has used a drug like tobacco for a while it will result in addiction. They will also face many symptoms. Irritability, trouble sleeping, and even a clouded judgment.
When a person uses tobacco, the nicotine in it goes into their blood. Nicotine makes the adrenal glands release epinephrine, which stimulates the central nervous system and increases blood pressure, breathing, and heart rate. Nicotine also increases levels of dopamine in the brain which reinforces rewarding behaviors.
