Alexander Hamilton (right) wants to have a national bank. Thomas Jefferson (left) thinks that it is a bad idea. Jefferson wants to stick to the Constitution whereas Hamilton wants to have freedom to do what is best for the country.
The whiskey rebellion was sparked because Hamilton wanted to tax things to help the country get out of debt. Jefferson knew this was a bad idea because the farmers in the south love the whiskey. The farmers then started protests because they thought it was unfair.
The French decided to follow the US by having a revolution. Hamilton wanted to side with the British in the war but Jeffereson wanted to side with France. Washington decided to stay neutral. The French would raid the US ships even though we were neautral.

Washington thought it was time for him to end his presidency. He had Hamilton write his goodbye speech. Washington needed to show how future presidents were to exit office and have someone new step up.

The United States sent over 3 representatives to meet with the French prime minister. 3 French representatives said that the US representatives had to pay a large bribe to talk to him. The news of this bribe made its way back to the United States and had newspapers writing about it.
$10 million to speak to him.
During John Adams' presidency, he came up with these laws to helo control who was in the country. He made it nearly impossible for newly immigrated people to vote. He also made it possible for them to get deported for talking bad about him which violates the first ammendment.
