  • Urgh it's a good thing Hangzhou is a port city or I would have to climb this mountain for trade.
  • Japan is covered by rocky mountains, 73% of Japan is mountainous. Japan consists of thousands of islands and each of its' main islands has a mountain range running down its spine.
  • True dat home boy!
  • The Japanese believed the gods sent 'divine winds' to save them, they were called the kamikaze.
  • The mongols attempted to invade Japan twice in 1274 and 1281 AD but failed both times because of the kamikaze.
  • TWICE!!
  • Shinto is a religion where people worship ancestors and nature spirits and a belief in a sacred power.
  • Japanese Buddhism is similar to Indian Buddhism except Japanese Buddhism is influenced by Taoism, or the local culture of Japan.
  • Japanese school of Mahayana Buddhism emphasizing the value of meditation and intuition. Zen Buddhism is a sub-school of Mahayana Buddhism. It was developed as a blend of Chinese Buddhism and Taoism.
