From chaos Gaia, the goddess of the earth was born. She then gave birth to Uranus, the god of the sky.
They bore children that were monsters, Cyclops and horrible creatures. Uranus feared these creatures so he hid them deep in the earth. Gaia loved her children and became angry, she then gave birth to gods and goddesses.
Gaia asked one of her children, Kronos who was strong enough to overthrow Uranus, to do so, and he did
Kronos became the god of the sky and married Rhea an earth goddess, They had many children and these children were called the golden age where no one had to work.
But Kronos feared his children and ate them all, so he would never be overthrown. Rhea was horrified by this and when her next child was born, Rhea and her mother, Gaia hid him and fed Kronos a stone clothed like a baby.
Zeus became the most powerful god ever, and he returned with an army of Gaia’s monsters and the rest of the gods to overthrow Kronos. The war was terrible and went on for years and years and years, killing all the men of the golden age.
