Before he became Billy the Kid, his name was Henry McCarty. He was moving west with his widowed mother. They ended up in Mexico, and when his mother remarried he took up the last name Atrium, but he was usually called Billy the Kid.

Billy the Kid had some accomplices to help him steal but sometimes he would help out other robbers, but only if he got something in return.

Billy always found somewhere to hide, whether it was in an old church like this, an abandoned house, or just camp out away from other people. If people started wondering if someone was where he was, he would get up and leave to find somewhere else to stay.
Billy the Kid stole from a lot of people, and he also is known to have killed 4 men on his own and has joined in many exploits.
Billy the Kid had many allies that helped with his robberies and in return Billy helped them with their robberies and they would split their money they collected or stole, take your pick.
Pat Garrett, the sheriff with the gun, tracked Billy to the old Fort Sumter. Finally, on July 14, 1881, Garrett confronted Billy in a darkened bedroom in one of the old military houses. He fired twice and killed Billy instantly.
