  • The US signed another law called the Indian Removal Act telling the Natives to leave their territory because of the gold on their land.
  • The Native Americans said that The Indain Removal act was unconstitutional and took it to the supreme court. The chief justice, John Marshal, ruled that the law was unconstitutional and that it could not be passed.
  • The Natives then had to leave their land. They had to move to present day Olklahoma. The path their was not easy though. Many died from starvation.
