To care for your pig and keep him happy, let him out to graze around the yard. Occasionally, spread out his food in the grass so he has to look for it like they would in the wild.
Play with your pig. Bronco likes to run around with me so when he's sitting down, I like to run circles around him until he gets excited and jumps around with me.
Keep your pig within a healthy weight. Going on walks is a good way to do this. Try to include him in simply tasks. For example, my pig likes to get the mail with me.
Pigs are unable to sweat so in the summer, they often get overheated. Make sure your pig has some water to cool off in. Plus, pigs like to swim so this is a fun experience for them.
Pigs are a herd animal. They can get lonely if they are left by themselves. If you can't be with them all day, make sure they have some other animal to be with. My pig likes to play with our dogs and is fond of my cat. They also like toys to keep them occupied. A ball can be a fun thing for them to play with.
Make sure your pig is fed with a healthy diet and has plenty of water, as they are prone to kidney stones. Corn is not a healthy diet! Make sure they have fruit and vegetables sometimes and feed them about a cup of a healthy grain. Make sure they are clean and well groomed. They love their bellies rubbed so doing that would be a nice treat for them after you brush them.
