Storyboard Text

  • Soothsayer
  • Beware the ides of March
  • He is a dreamer, let us leave him. Pass.
  • Cassius and Brutus Talking About Caesar
  • Caesar, why should that name sound more than yours
  • What is it that you would impart to me? If it be aught toward the general crowd
  • Caesars Death
  • Stop, Romans, stop and let us put our hands in Caesars blood
  • Et tu, Brute? Then fall Caesar
  • The Sooothsayer tells Caesar to beware the ides of March during Lucius' festival in front of the crowd.  This is important because it plays a large part in the play as it progresses.
  • Antony's Speech
  • I should do Brutus wrong and Lucius wrong, you all know are honorable men
  • Cassius and Brutus discuss their feelings towards Caesar. This is one of the main conflicts in the play.
  • Brutus meeting the Ghost of Caesar
  • Thy evil spirit, Brutus
  • The conspirators stab Caesar numerous times until he is dead which leads a war like effort between Brutus and Cassius and Antony and Lucius.
  • The Death of Brutus
  • This is the noblest Roman of them all
  • Antony tells the crowd about Caesars death without blaming the conspirators but implying that it was their fault. Which turns the crowd against Brutus and Cassius.
  • Brutus encounters the ghost of Caesar before he heads out to war. While Brutus is in shock, Caesar makes reference to his spirit, calling it evil. This implies that Caesar might believe Brutus' spirit is now evil because he betrayed Caesar.
  • How ill this taper burns. Ha- Who comes here?
  • As the play comes to an end, Brutus, as well as many others, dies. However, Brutus' death is seen as noble to the conspirators because through their eyes, killing yourself is noble but they also believe this because they think that he did the right thing even if it is morally wrong.
  • Night hangs upon mine eyes; my bones would rest, that have but labored to attain this hour
