- Lennie and George are in one of the ranch rooms. Lennie asked George about there dream ranch.
- "I jus' tol' you, jus' las' night."
- "Tell about that place, George."
- Lennie and George carry on the conversation outside. Old man Candy follows them as though he has a idea
- 'Well, it's ten acres'
- 'Go on - tell again, George'
- Whilst George describes their dream ranch Lennie can't help himself but imagine the ranch in his head.
- George says " Got a little win' mill. Got a little Shack on it. Got orchard, Cherries, Apples, Peaches."
- George Says " I could easy build a few hutches and you can feed alfalfa to the rabbits"
- Lennie excitedly says " Damn right, I could"
- Out of nowhere Candy finally says something.
- "I want to help you they giv' me two hundred an' fifty dollars
- 'S'pose i went with you guys'
