In Athens, Hermia faces a tough choice. Her father has chosen Demetrius for her to marry even though she loves Lysander. Thesues has gave her three choices; marry Demetrius, become a nun, or die!
ACT III Climax
After hearing her choices, Hermia cries to Lysander. Lysander decides to give her a fourth option, to run away to the woods and live with her aunt. She decided to tell her best friend Helena.
ACT IV Falling Action
Today is the day, hermia, what will it be
Meanwhile, the fairy king Oberon and his mischievous servant Puck have and idea to fix Demetrius up with Helena. However Puck messes things up and both of the men love Helena. Helena thinks they are joking.
ACT V Resolution
A triple wedding!
After the four lovers fight out all of their feelings, Oberon tells Puck to put the antidote in Lysander's eyes so that he loves Hermia agian. It works and Lysander thinks his love for Helena was all just a dream.
This will fix the problem!
Theseus and Hippolyta discover the four lovers sleeping in the woods and remembers that this is the day Hermia must make her choice about Demetrius. Demetrius tells Theseus that he loves Helena.
My Lord, I do not wish to marry Hermia, I love Helena
And I want to marry Hermia
Theseus decides that Hermia can marry Lysander after all and that the three couples will have a triple wedding. The Rustics went on to perform their play which was awful but Theseus found it funny.
