Macbeth Act III Scene IV
The King returns to his seat only to notice the ghost of Banquo in his place and he is frightened by this display.
King Macbeth and Lady Macbeth attend the feast as King and Queen followed by their court.
As a humble host, I will mingle with my guests.
The first murderer enters the feast after some time.
Have you killed Banquo?
My lord, his throat is cut, but I'm afraid Fleance has escaped.
This is troubling news. The harmless worm will become a venomous snake in time. Begone. We will speak again soon.
End of Act III Scene IV
You can't say I did it! You Can't!
Stay, as the King has spoken to ghosts before. No need to worry.
Gentlemen, rise. The King is not well.
The apparition is gone! I am a man again.
Do not speak to him. you will make him more crazy. Everyone, leave at once.
Apparition?
I fear blood will have blood. I will speak to the witches tomorrow to learn of my future.
You haven't slept. Retire to bed.
