  • Macbeth Act III Scene IV
  • The King returns to his seat only to notice the ghost of Banquo in his place and he is frightened by this display.
  • King Macbeth and Lady Macbeth attend the feast as King and Queen followed by their court.
  • As a humble host, I will mingle with my guests.
  • The first murderer enters the feast after some time.
  • Have you killed Banquo?
  • My lord, his throat is cut, but I'm afraid Fleance has escaped.
  • This is troubling news. The harmless worm will become a venomous snake in time. Begone. We will speak again soon.
  • End of Act III Scene IV
  • You can't say I did it! You Can't!
  • Stay, as the King has spoken to ghosts before. No need to worry.
  • Gentlemen, rise. The King is not well.
  • The apparition is gone! I am a man again.
  • Do not speak to him. you will make him more crazy. Everyone, leave at once.
  • Apparition?
  • I fear blood will have blood. I will speak to the witches tomorrow to learn of my future.
  • You haven't slept. Retire to bed.
