Storyboard Text

  • Walking to the restaurant
  •  "what's a comic relief?"
  • "The readers interpretation of work should be humorous".
  • Outside the restaurant
  • Waiting to get seated
  • My friend Billy wanted to become a writer in the funnies of the newspaper and he came to us and asked, "what's a comic relief?"
  • Sitting in the restaurant
  • Soliloquy
  •  "Is that when you hear the character thinking?"
  • So as we told him what it was, we also gave him other examples of what his would need for the papers. For example I said, "The readers interpretation of work should be humorous".
  • Sitting in the restaurant
  • We continued to explain that to get some laughter he should have some puns in it.
  • Sitting in the restaurant
  • When we told Billy about puns he asked, "Is that when you hear the character thinking?" and Sally told him that's soliloquy.
  • Also we told Billy all of the comics shouldn't be funny all the time some should have forms of symbolism  to help explain the story.
  • Not only that but we told Billy if you want to make the reader comfortable then he should write in prose.
