  • Mary Johnson (34) stay at home mom, looks after her and Will's child.
  • Brady Johnson (9) enrolled in 4th grade, loves the outdoors and race cars.
  • This is the Johnson Family. The Johnson's have just received word that there is a category 4 hurricane.  As the storm nears, the town is ordered to evacuate as dangerous winds and rain could cause severe damages.
  • Don't worry Mary, Im sure that the house can survive a little water and wind while we are gone.
  • I don't know Will. This storm is supposed to be really bad.
  • The Hurricane batters the area with heavy rain and wind for three days and the Johnson's can't help think that their house is destroyed.
  • As the hurricane dissipates, the family returns home to see what has happened to their home. When they arrive they see their house has been completely ruined.
  • Wow, the damages are a lot worse than I had expected...
  • Oh Will what are we going to do? We don't have anything left!
  • Luckily, one of Will's co-workers went through the same situation when he lived in Florida. He told Will that he qualified for FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency). With this knowledge. Will contacted a representative from the agency to help his family.
  • Yes Mr. Johnson, FEMA will provide needed financial and  medical support to you and your family while you rebuild and become self sufficient
  • That is fantastic news! My wife will be thrilled. I'm so glad that FEMA could help my family.
  • Just one year later, Will and Mary have found new jobs and rebuilt their home with the funds and assistance from FEMA.
  • THANK YOU FEMA!
