Storyboard Text

  • Tree frogs and natural selection
  • By Cameron Brown
  • Today we will show you our journey of adaptation
  • We frogs need to overproduce our offspring to ensure that at least a few babies survive so we can maintain our population
  • Step One: Overpopulation
  • The frogs have to overproduce because they are hunted by many other animals like the predatory birds and large snakes and if they don't produce enough they will be hunted to extinction
  • We also have to be different in our color and our traits to blend in with our environment, some of us are green and some of us are brown
  • Step Two: Variation
  • We also have to compete for food and survival from the other predetors
