  • Why is there a dagger in front of me? Is this a hallucination? Are my eyes deceiving me?
  • Yes, King Duncan is dead. Now I shall rule all of Scotland.
  • Please go place the dagger on the soldiers. I can not bare to see Duncan again.
  • Have you done it my love? Have you killed King Duncan?
  • King Duncan has been murdered in his sleep!
  • Who could have done this terrible act?
  • This scene is important in act two as the Dagger is a vision that is telling Macbeth about what he is about to do and what will happen if he goes through with his plan to kill the King which will be bad as he will be surrounded in darkness and evil.
  • This is a important scene in act two as after Macbeth assassinates King Duncan he goes to his wife and tells her about what happened. He then asks Lady Macbeth to plant the knife on the guards as he does not wish return to Duncan's body as he feels remorse for what he had done. This scene is most important part is when both Macbeth and Lady Macbeth realize that there is no going back after what the had done.
  • This Scene is important in act two because when everyone discovered that King Duncan was murdered it changed Scotland forever as Macbeth would become king.
