  • 1824 John Adams and the corrupt bargain
  • 1828 Tariff of Abomination
  • 1828 Jackson 1st election
  • It started the Nullification crisis. Jackson and Adam were competing for the presidency and Adams had an advantage because his friend was the Head of the house.
  • 1828 South Carolina Nullification
  • It was a protective tariff put on things that were made in the United states.
  • 1830 Worcester vs. Georgia
  • Jackson favored the common man. He was born poor, and he wanted them to be able to have a voice.
  • 1836 Trail of Tears
  • the South wanted to secede because there was a high tax. Jackson's vice president told them not to listen to Jackson.
  • Worcester was living w/ indians, and Georgia didn't accept it so they went to court. The supreme court came through w/ Worcester.
  • Jackson forced indians to walk thousands of miles so they can move to a new location.
