  • June 1, 1812 president Madison declared war against the British.
  • The Battle of York
  • One day a group of american soldiers were walking through the forest when a group of British soldiers snuck up on them and attacked.
  • The Battle of Stoney Creek
  • The first major battle of the war at Queenston Height. The Americans tried to attack but the British defended the city and the Americans had to retreat
  • The Battle of Crysler's Farm
  • April, 1813 1700 american soldiers sailed across lake Ontario and started attacking the British and end up burning down the town of York.
  • On June 6 1813 a group of american soldiers were in upper Canada by stoney creek. A group of British soldiers tried to make a night attack on the Americans but it didn't turn out that well . Since it was at night and it was dark the British soldiers missed the Americans main camp which caused lots of confusion. that night lots of Americans and British died.
  • November, 1813 more than 13,000 Americans advanced to the st. Lawrence river Montreal. in between the city and the Americans a group of first nations, militia and British soldiers set up a defense at Crysler's farm blocking the path of the American soldiers.
