The character will walk through a dark and empty street, as seen in the Coldplay 'Fix You' music video. Using AfterEffects, I will make the signs behind it illuminate as this is displayed in the original too.
Kanye West "Datamoshing" Effect (Medium Shot)
By duplicating the layer of my character (filmed on a dark, blank background), I will create "glitched" versions of them moving side by side as seen in Zayn's 'Pillowtalk' music video.
Using the effects already available in AfterEffects (as well as my own lighting) I will emulate the electric effect on the character used on Chester Bennington for the video to 'Waiting For The End'.
Helpline Conclusion (Close-Up Shot)
In Kanye West and Kid Cudi's 'Welcome to Heartbreak' music video, there is an effect applied to them termed as "datamoshing". Using compression techniques, I will create similar on my own character.
Headlines regarding music artists opening up about their mental health will populate the screen in collage form with different blend layers to reveal what the video is trying to spread awareness about.
The video will conclude with the character coming to the end of his journey and deciding to build up the courage to seek mental help through discovering a helpline service. This will show that mental health problems cannot be resolved immediately but encourage viewers to take the step of speaking out.
