Setting- In South Africa in the 1930's Exposition- PK is born in South Africa to his White South African mother and lived with his Zulu Nanny
Rising Action- After his mother’s death, PK is sent to a boarding school where he is harshly bullied as he is a young English kid in the school of Afrikaners. Jaapie Botha is the main bully.
Rising Action- PK was not happy about how the Afrikaners treated him at school and he felt like nothing turned out the right way. PK's grandpa had a friend that he had sent over to help PK and his name was Doc. Doc taught PK that his questions could be answered by nature and that exploration was important.
Rising Action- Doc was imprisoned for being German. PK meets a black South African named Geel Piet and he was imprisoned as well and also taught PK how to box.
Rising Action- PK helped Doc and Geel Piet make a concert where the black South Africans were involved. On the night of the concert, Geel Piet was finishing his work and after he finished he was walking outside. An Afrikaner saw him and demanded Geel Piet to give him the lyrics for the song. Geel Piet was beat and killed by the Afrikaner.
Rising Action- PK went to a prestigious boarding school with his friend Morrie Gilbert and he does boxing. The owner convinces him to fight one of the black South Africans whose name is Gideon Duma. He wanted this fight to give hope to their homeland no matter who was victorious.
