  • Thus the Declaration of Independence includes these main points after the opening by a preamble: All men have equal rights and the God-given rights is to be safeguarded that is, the rights of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and If the government fails in its duty the government must be overthrown and a new government must be set up by the people who have a right to revolt.
