A 9 year old girl who moves to the Planet Venus, with her family.
Wailed= A give of a cry of pain, grief,or anger
Margot we are moving to Venus. Which we are here at now.
Margot don't be rude. We got new jobs.
This is a wailed dad!
The kids don't like Margot because she is different.
Yeah! The suns not coming out.
Yes it is the scienctist predict it.
The suns not coming out today.
According to the story,"But this is the day, the scientist predict, they say, they know, the sun..." "All a joke!" said the boy & seized her roughly. "Hey,everyone, let's put her in a closet before teacher comes!" "No," said Margot, falling back.
No! Please! Stop!
One external conflict in the story is that the other kids don't like Margot because she is different & remembers seeing the sun.
No you don't!
I remember seeing the sun.
"It had been raining for seven years; thousands upon thousands of days compounded & filled from one end to the other with rain, with the drum & gush of water, with the sweet crystal fall of showers & the concussion of storms so heavy they were tidal waves come over the islands." The author used this b/c they wanted to give you an image of what Venus looked like.
The resolution of the story is when the rain stopped & the other kids realized Margot was right. Then, they all liked her.
