Parris: "What did you do with her in the forest"? Abigail: "We did dance uncle and when you leaped out of the bush so suddenly, Betty was frightened and then she fainted". Abigail:"We never conjured spirits". PAGE 10
Thomas Putnam (Greedy)

Rebecca Nurse (Sweet, Caring Citizen)

"Thomas Putnam was the eldest son of the richest man in the village". PAGE 58. Thomas Putnam is called greedy because he wants to accuse people of being witches so he can take their land for himself.
"Rebecca walks across the room to the bed. Gentleness exudes from her. Betty is quietly whimpering, eyes shut. Rebecca simply stands over the child, who gradually quiets". PAGE 25. This shows Rebecca is a caring woman and helps out a lot.
