  • In this strategy, students who are acting appropriately are pointed out. In this scene, the teacher is inviting everyone to the rug by singing "I'm looking for a learner and I found _____"  singing the names of the students who are acting appropriately with the anticipation thatthe others will notice and join the group.
  • In this strategy, the adults have anticipated that the activity may be overwelling for some students and have positioned themselves accordingly to avoid potential issues of aggression and to be present if and when they do occur.
  • In this strategy, students who have difficulty with transitions are given pre-determined jobs to, potential heavy work. In this scene, the girl has been given the responsibility to take the dog back to class and the boy is responsible for taking the bookbags. All the other students have been made aware before hand that these jobs are specific to these children.
