A family of four lives in Chicago. Ellen, a 32 year old mom works at a nonprofit daycare and loves to draw. Jack is the 33 year old dad that works as a teacher and plays sports with devlin, his nine year old son. Finally, there is Ezran, the 7 year old boy that plays games.
Jack and Ellen realized that they can't keep going in life without going into debt. So, Jack looked on www.govbenefits.gov to find a government program that could help them.
He found SNAP, also known as Food Stamps. It gave him a debit card with monthly donations so they can buy nutritious foods. It gave them breathing room so that Ellen could save for college and get a job to support the family.
