  • My cousin Joseph and my friend Paul could see me in distress at the bridge, arriving to see the commotion they both saw the Oldsmobile's tires face up in the water, as they asked me the whereabouts of Mary Jo, my passenger, i said through a panicked sob, "She's still in there.."
  • "No! We have to go get her! Mary Jo could still be alive!!" And Paul dove in. But i couldn't let him go by himself. Me and Joseph dove in after him and we attempted to get the car open for some time. Repeatedly diving in time after time after time. We never did get her out...

  • I panicked, realizing if a death was found as a cause from me, my running for president would be ruined. I swam away to a hotel not too far from the crash to rest up for the night, and knowing the current was too strong and dark to be able to save her tonight, i laid down and wept at for what my actions had caused, and fell asleep around 2 AM.

  • I woke up to a banging on the door at around 9:52 the next morning. "Ted, Ted! Let us in! It's Joe and Paul!" I bolted and got to the door to let them in. And after a long, saddening discussion, i found they couldn't save her. I couldn't take the pressure any longer and called the police 8 minutes later at 10 AM.
  • By the time the police arrived and the accident was known by the whole area, i had already been thoroughly questioned on what happened, when it did, why, how, and so fourth. But i couldn't remember too much because i was concussed following the accident. But what i did know was i never drank, i don't think we were speeding, and until i ran away in shock i tried with all my might to release her.
