During the year 1348 a terrible disease called The Black Death came to Europe from China by fleas.
The fleas got onto rats that got onto the ships.
When the rats died, the fleas looked for a new home - a person! Medieval people didn't wash very often so they were very dirty and tended to have fleas!
Look at the pretty sun.
I'm gonna die...
If not, you would suffer to death. Millions of people died in England. Villages and Towns were deserted and houses were full of dead Black Death victims.
Boils the size of apples would grow on your body. You would feel hot and dizzy. You would be spittting blood. The boils would cause bleeding under the skin.
You would shake all over. If one of your boils burst and leaked pus, you might live.
Oh no! I got the Black Death!
If an infected flea bit you then you would get the Black Death.
