A 13 day siege by Santa Anna that ended with all occupants dead. The butchery of the Alamo by Santa Anna fully unified the Texans in their fight for independence.
Mexicans took Texan prisoners to Goliad where they thought they would be freed after a few weeks. Instead, 425-445 Texans were marched out in 3 columns between 2 rows of Mexican soldiers; they were shot point blank, survivors were clubbed and knifed to death.
The decisive battle of the Texas Revolution. Led by General Sam Houston, the Texian Army engaged and defeated General Santa Anna in a fight that lasted just 18 minutes. Santa Anna was captured. He granted Texas independence for safe passage back to Mexico.
