  • The emperor Claudio I was born on August 1st, 10 b.C. in Lugdunum (today France).
  • His nephew Caligula named him consul and senator although he had phisical disabilities (limp and stutter).
  • Kill her!
  • When Caligula was killed the senate proclaimed him emperor.
  • Mauritania, Morocco, Algiers, Judea and Thrace became Roman provinces during his tenure.
  • In 48 b.C. he ordered the execution of Messalina, his wife, because she had marriage with his mistress. Shortly after, he married with his niece.
  • He governed from the year 41 until his death in the year 54 b.C. On October 13 he was poisoned by Nero and died.
