  • In the beginning of the story King Acrisius knows his daughter is ready to marry but is scared of having a son-in-law so he goes to to the Oracle.

  • King Acrisius goes to the oracle and the oracle tells him his prophecy. King Acrisius will one day have a son-in-law that will kill him.

  • My baby!
  • King Acrisius is scared for his life so he locks his daughter into a tower with no doors so she could never bear a son that would one day kill him.

  • Please don't do this!
  • In the night the god Apollo made love to his daughter in the night and she had a son named Avenger. (Perseus in Greek) King Acrisius saw Apollo enter and sent his soldiers to the tower.
  • Once king Acrisius saw the baby he thought about killing his daughter and her child, but instead he decided to send her out on a boat without sails or oars to see if the gods would protect them.
  • King Acrisius’s daughter is sent on the boat and fishermen find her and bring her and her daughter to King Polydectes.
