Storyboard Description

This short story begins with a few men on a yacht going to Rio. The charters Whitney and Rainsford, as both sailing when Whitney sees a very familiar and famous island. He sees the island Ship Trap island. While sailing with the rest of the crew, Whitney decides that he is going to tell stories to everyone. As he is telling stories Rainsford suddenly gets knocked over the yacht and lands in the ocean. He eventually finds his way to shore and knocks on the door of a mansion. A man named General Zaroff greets him and knows who Rainsford is immediately. He says that he studies hunters that are very well known. They both walk into the mansion and Zaroff treats Rainsford with respect. Rainsford soon realizes the secret that Zaroff is keeping which is that he hunts humans for fun. The next day Zaroff and Rainsford go on a hunting spree for two different reasons. Zaroff for fun and Rainsford for survival. Rainsford soon gets caught by Zaroff and is told that he will be fed to the hounds. However, he jumps off the shoe into the sea. He then makes his way back to the mansion where he stays for a while. Zaroff walks in and makes an agreement with Rainsford. The agreement was that whoever lost would be fed to the hounds. Zaroff eventually loses and Rainsford won the game.

  • Rainsford and Whitney are hunters and are on there way to Rio in the Caribbean sea. They are passing Ship-trap island and Rainsford fell off the boat.
  • Climax
  • When Rainford wakes up he is faced with the conflict of man versus nature. Rain ford's finds a house with a large man named Ivan inside when another man named General Zaroff welcomes him to his home.
  • Falling Action
  • General Zaroff and Rainford start talking about hunting and General Zaroff said, "I wanted the ideal animal to hunt". "What are the attributes of an ideal quarry?" "It must have courage,cunning,and above all it must be able to reason." "But no animal can reason." "My dear fellow there is one that can said General Zaroff it is ''the options of this game is you can play or I will give you to Ivan and he will take care of you.
  • Resolution
  • Rainsford had to survive for three days without being killed and during those three days Rainsford killed Ivan the hounds and when General Zaroff went back to the house Rainsford swam to the house.
  • Rainsford wins the game and was sure of himself and General Zaroff was surprised how Rainsford was in the house and congratulated Rainsford for winning the game.
  • The conflict was resolved by Rainsford killing General Zaroff and saying "he had never slept in a better bed."
