Then Iago got his hands on Othello's first gift of love, a handkerchief, that he gave to Desdemona. Iago's wife Emilia gave it to him after he begged for her to steal it. Iago then placed the handkerchief in Cassio's room to make it look like Desdemona had been unloyal to Othello.
After that Iago told Othello that he might want to pay extra attention to how Cassio is when with Desdemona. At first Othello doesn't believe it but then he slowly started to believe the lies Iago told. Iago also asked about the handkerchief and then said he had seen Cassio wiping his beard with it. This makes Othello furious!
Othello runs into Desdemona searching through a box. After Othello hears that Desdemona doesn't have the handkerchief he is outrageous and leaves Desdemona confused and worried.
In frustration and anger Othello runs to Iago and says that he wants Cassio and his beloved Desdemona to die. Iago suggests that he should take care of Cassio and that he (Othello) should take care of Desdemona by strangling he in her wedding sheets. Othello is just to upset to think and agrees.
After Iago had killed Rodrigo because Rodrigo had stabbed Cassio and Othello had killed Desdemona Emilia had stormed into Desdemona's room in shock and fear seeing Desdemona, she spoke for Desdemona, telling Othello that she wasn't guilty.
Then Iago came into the room with guards on each side. Emilia pointed at Iago in terror and said that it was her husband that had lied and caused this. In rage Iago stabbed Emilia and Emilia laid dead at the foot of Desdemona's bed. After Othello took all of this information in he stabbed himself and dropped to his knees and kissed Desdemona right before he died.
