Characterization We learn about Aislynn and her curse. She is always upset and running off to fight her curse. Her whole family blames her for running off and ruining everything. She is constantly being called a stray. There are endless secrets she is trying to keep.
Imagery There was a place that Aislynn had always escaped too when her curse was burning up inside her. It was a place where nobody ever knew where she was.
Theme Aislynn believes the curse is her fault but she can't control what the curse does to her.
