  • HAMARTIA
  • Now might I do it pat, now he is praying, And now I'll do 't.And so he goes to heaven, And so am I revenged. That would be scanned: A villain kills my father, and for that, I, his sole son, do this same villain send To heaven.
  • Hamlet's tragic flaw is procrastination because he had an opportunity to kill Claudius but he put it off.
  • PERIPETEIA
  • No, no, the drink, the drink!—O my dear Hamlet! The drink, the drink! I am poisoned
  • The peripeteia is when Gertrude picks up the poisoned cup and drinks it , because that is unexpected.
  • Upon the talk of the poisoning?
  • ANAGNORISIS
  • I did very well note him.
  • Give me some light. Away
  • The anagnorisis is when Hamlet stages the play to see if Claudius is guilty or not.
  • NEMESIS
  • Here, thou incestuous, damnèd Dane,Drink off this potion.
  • The nemesis is when Claudius gets stabbed because he is punished for his vices. Claudius is also Hamlet's nemesis.
  • CATHARSIS
  • The catharsis is the final scene of the play because all the characters are put to rest; there is a cleansing of emotions of the characters. Fortinbras taking the throne is final closure because the play ends with a sense of restoration.
  • For me, with sorrow I embrace my fortune. I have some rights of memory in this kingdom, Which now to claim my vantage doth invite me.
  • THE END
