There once lived a happily married couple-or what used to be a happily married couple. Recently, the husband spent far too much time at work away from his wife, leaving her lonely and disgusted by what their marriage had become.
After enduring so many lonely nights, she decided that she would have to do something to fix their once inseparable relationship. She knew of a wise, old man just 4 blocks away. She walked there swiftly in hopes that he could fix their marriage.
She arrived and sobbed to him, muttering her story of the decline of their love. The old man replied, 'Well you could always get a divorce to end your marriage and simply marry someone else". He then asked her if that was an option she wanted to pursue. She told him that all she wanted was for her husband to be loving and caring again in the way that he used to be. The wise old man told the wife that he could make a potion to make him loving and caring once more. He said, "I just need you to get a special ingredient: a lion's whisker". She replied, "if that's what it takes!" and went on her quest
The wife traveled far to an environment near a river, where lions often drink, with a slab of meat to attract a lion, and, a side of green beans for the lion's nutritional value. Far away, on a hill, she looked down at the meat and waited for a lion to show up.
Once the lion appeared, she watched him eat the steak with pleasure and pounce away. She repeated the exact same process the next day, only this time getting closer to the lion. She feared the lion and wanted to advance closer every ay until she eventually would take one of his whiskers. Little did she know the lion was aware of her presence the entire time.
After about a month of watching the lion, the wife determined that she would be able to get the whisker the following day. Even though she still feared the lion greatly, by now she had felt like she understood the lion's character, and that he was not the kind of lion that would bite her head off.
