Scene 1 : The plains of Philippi in Greece Brutus and Cassius meet Antony and Octavius on the battlefield. The four leaders talk and insult each other. Brutus and Cassius say their final farewells, because there is a chance they will not return.
O Julius Caesar, thou art mighty yet! Thy spirit walks abroad and turns our swords In our own proper entrails.
Scene 2 : The Battlefield Brutus and Messala are overlooking the battlefield. Brutus sees that at this moment, their army has an advantage. Brutus tells Messala to go tell Cassius' forces to attack Antony's army.
And I am Brutus, Marcus Brutus, I! Brutus, my country’s friend. Know me for Brutus!
Scene 3 : Another part of the battlefield Cassius retreats because his forces are being defeated by Antony's army. Cassius sends Titinius to scout the area. Also, he tells Pindarus to observe what he sees. Pindarus sees Titinius taken off his horse by other soldier, who are in great joy. He tells Cassius that Titinius has been taken by the enemy, but he actually was taken by his own side of soldiers.
This was the noblest Roman of them all. All the conspirators save only he Did that they did in envy of great Caesar.
Scene 3 continued: Titinius comes back to Cassius to give him good news about their victory. But, he sees Cassius dead and then he kills himself. Then Brutus arrives after he defeated Octavius' army. Brutus mourns the death of the two men. However, he sees another battle about to happen.
Scene 4: Another battle occurs and Young Cato is killed. Also, Lucilious is taken by the enemy and is taken prisoner. Lucilious is taken to Antony and Lucilious tells Antony that Brutus won't be taken prisoner.
Scene 5 : Brutus and his forces are about to be defeated in battle and Brutus has lost all hope. He asks three of his men to kill him and none will. Finally Strato says he will. Antony and Octavius arrive and see that Brutus is dead. Antony praises Brutus and says that he will receive a noble funeral.
