14 years later, Cory is home from the marines and he has a family of his own. He wants to do better and help provide for his family.
Cory has a son, Grayson, and wants him to play sports and eventually be in the position to get scholarships. He is also scared that he is going to take on some of his father's characteristics.
Cory explains how stressed he is he cannot provide for his family because he feels he needs too, just like Troy. He mentions to his wife all of the abuse he went through and wants Grayson to be a very good athlete.
Grayson is at a football game and gets angry at a play so he walks off the field. He yells at his coach. Cory is VERY angry when he hears about this.
I HATE MY TEAM
On the ride home, Cory yells at Grayson for not being good enough and he is the reason he cannot find a good job to support his family. Grayson cries and gets yelled at even more for not being a man.
Cory is angry and takes his son down to the basement and beats him!!
