Storyboard Text

  • Joan was a young peasant girl. At the age of thirteen Joan started hearing voices from god. God was telling Joan to help prince Charles become King and defeat the English. She then left home.
  • "I must help Prince Charles become King"
  • At the age of sixteen Joan leaves home, cuts her hair and dresses like a man.  French military does not accept Joan into the army , and laugh at her. Prince Charles hears about Joan, he dresses as a peasant and Joan finds him in a crowd.
  • NO!
  • ATTACK!
  • Joan leads the French into England for a great battle. Moments after the battle starts Joan is shot in the shoulder with an arrow. She pulls the arrow out of her shoulder and continues battle. Soon after the battle Prince Charles is crowned king of France.
  • Joan goes into another battle without the Kings permission. The King is tired of Joan's behavior. In battle Joan is captured by the burgondy army. The Burgundy's offer a ransomed and the King of France does not want to save Joan

  • Joan goes on trial for witchcraft and heresy. The Catholic church finds Joan guilty. Joan spends two years in a dungeon while being tortured to confess. After knowing she is going to die any way she confesses.
  • I am going to die anyway.
  • Joan's punishment for witchcraft and heresy was being burned to death. While being burned to death she does not plead but she yells out the name "Jesus". 20 years later in 1455 she is claimed innocent. In 1920 the Catholic church claims she is a Saint.
  • Jesus! Jesus!
