John's sister Jennie comes to the house because the Narrator is unable to do work around the house. As the Narrator tells John about her being well enough to go see Cousin Henry and Julia, he tells her that she wasn't able to go; nor able to stand it since she was crying. John starts to get frustrated with his wife. The Narrator tries this many more times but she always ends up crying, John getting more frustrated
