I'm allergic to peanut butter! Do you have any Benadryl?
Ella and I lay in bed and talk while trying to fall asleep since we have to wake up early for school tomorrow morning.
This one says Benadryl on the label!
Ella and I were hungry and are craving a midnight snack, but refused to get up and walk downstairs to get one. So to cure our hunger, I grabbed the candy and handed some to Ella.
What are you guys doing!? It's a school night!
Quickly, we realized it was peanut butter candy, which Ella is allergic to. I began laughing, because I've never seen an allergic reaction before. Ella started crying and we started running down the stairs to get Benadryl. Trying to be as quiet as we can to not wake my family up, we run into my kitchen.
I ate peanut butter and I'm allergic to it!
Ella, sweetie, what's wrong?
Ella searched the left cabinets while I searched the right cabinets trying to find Benadryl to stop the allergic reaction because we didn't want to tell my mom. Finally, in one of the cabinets I found the Benadryl and handed it to Ella. While sobbing, she took one pill and swallowed it.
We heard footsteps coming down the stairs, hoping it's my dog, we anxiously waited to see who it was. It was my mom, she was furious when she saw us awake past midnight.
My mom noticed that Ella was crying, and was very concerned. She got down to her level to ask her what was wrong. Ella explained that she ate candy, but didn't know what it was and was having an allergic reaction. My mom asked what she could do to help and told her that she needed to call her parents.
