  • It's 11 o'clock at night as Mrs. Jones walks home from work alone.
  • Climax
  • The conflict is character vs character. Roger tries to steal Mrs. Jones purse and she makes him come home with her.
  • Falling Action
  • Mrs. Jones drags Roger back to her house so she can talk to him.
  • Resolution
  • Roger has the choice to either run away or stay. He looks at the door, then the sink, then back at the door. He then decides to stay and learn a lesson. He listens to Mrs. Jones and he washes his face.
  • Roger learns that Mrs. Jones has made mistakes in her life too. She continues to treat him like she's his mother. He wants to earn her trust so he offers to go to the store for her. They eat together like a real family would.
  • Mrs. Jones gives him $10 so he can buy his blue suede and allows him to leave. Roger is barely able to say "Thank you" and never sees Mrs. Jones again.
